3-MOVE CHECKER TOURNAMENT

Branson, Missouri      June 13 – 16

$32,780 Prize Money!

Dear Checker Player:

This is your invitation to participate in the 2023 National 3-move Checker tournament on June 13 through June 16 in Branson, Missouri.

This will be a four-day event. All three divisions: Masters, Majors, and Minors will play 24 games or 12 rounds.  Three rounds per day Tuesday through Friday.  The awards ceremonies will be after the final round.  The entry fee is Minors $20, Majors $30, Masters $50. Current ACF membership will be required.

The site will be the Honeysuckle Inn, 3598 Shepherd of the Hills Expressway, Branson MO 65616. The phone number is (417) 335-2030.  When making reservations be sure to indicate that you are with ACF and playing in the tournament.  It is important that you do this as early as possible. The rate is $90.68 per night including tax.  You may register for the tournament on Monday evening or the next morning before the first round.  Play will begin each day at 8:30 a. m.  There will be a short meeting on Tuesday morning before the first round.  It is very important that every player be at this meeting.

The hotel will provide the playing room for a one-time fee of $75, free hot breakfast, internet access, and free parking. We will provide a free lunch each day. The playing room is outstanding. Several restaurants are within walking distance. There are many interesting things to see in the Branson area including Silver Dollar City, Whitewater, Branson Scenic Railway and over 70 shows.

There will be at least $32,780 in prize money.. the largest fund ever for any national tournament!  This money will be divided among the top players in three categories: The approximate amount will be: Masters $21,420 ($5,000 to winner), Majors 7,230 and Minors $4,130, The major sponsors of this event are David Seres of Newport Beach, Calif., Dr. Ken Seres of Edmond, Okla. and Jeannie and Joe McDaniel of Tulsa, Okla.
